Taking a three day weekend trip, whether to the beach, lake, or a fun city, we all want to optimize our time off and pack with style and comfort in mind, no matter our destination!  Whether it's last minute or planned ahead, packing can be a big HASSLE!!! Here are some savvy packing tips to help keep you looking stylish and not having to take numerous outfits and shoes.

1)  Always pack outfits for your getaway for at least 3 occasions:  a casual brunch or afternoon lunch, a day of sightseeing or shopping, and for that night out on the town or to your favorite restaurant. With this in mind, choosing items that are lightweight like a denim dress or jumpsuit, a tank dress, or a cool maxi dress can always be dressed up or down by changing your shoes and jewelry.

2) If you want to be less casual, always add your outfit basics. along with some ON TREND items to amp up your look such as these light wash denim shorts with a cute on-trend black tie front tassel/embroidered tank top and a pair of flip flops.  To take it into evening, pair the top with our two tone frayed jeans , our modern hoop gold earring and gold hammered anvil cuff, and a pair of gladiators or wrap around the ankle sandals.  Perfect for a less casual dining out atmosphere!

3)The key to packing for a long MD weekend is to add interchangeable and lightweight pieces that are in hues or prints that can be mixed and matched taking the HASSLE out of what to wear. Your comfy white jeans with a this fabulous turquoise off the shoulder tie dye top or this summer stripe top and some fun fiesta tassel earrings are great pieces to mix with other neutrals for the weekend.  Or these two print pants here and here are awesome pieces to mix with your basic tees, such as this cute tee or a button down shirt. Both pants are lightweight and perfect to go from a day of sightseeing, then into evening with a shoe and accessory swap. Another option is this silky tunic or off shoulder blue and white stripe top...both great items to mix with your white /denim jeans or dressy white pants.

4) To optimize your packing space and save on carrying numerous pieces of luggage, dresses are the most transitional and versatile pieces.  You can always pair a print or solid dress with your jeans, such as this cute print dress or our dress from Yana K, knotted on the side or belted, to wear out shopping or for a casual brunch.  Then the dress can be worn later on it's own with fun shoes and jewelry to your favorite restaurant. You can even take your dresses and use as your swimsuit coverup! Here are some more fun options to try: here, here, and here.

5) Most importantly, always take a POP of color to brighten up your neutral palette.  This can be in a shoe, a top such as this cute basic lombardy top or our emerald tank, earrings like these beaded tassels, or even a bold lip color....yes, color on the lips adds impact and looks great with all these neutrals!  Don't be reluctant to try something new and bold.  We feel it is always refreshing to have some color in your wardrobe.
